GWAF 2021 ANNUAL LECTURE:
‘Quality Communication: sharing effective tools for Assisted Daily Living’

The annual event aimed at celebrating the life of Dr. Gabi Williams and inform the GWAF community and general public issues on specific thematic areas of Alzheimer’s Disease.

The theme of the 2021 Annual Memorial Lecture ‘Quality Communication: sharing effective tools for Assisted Daily Living’ was carefully chosen to build on previous discussion on same and help the public to understand the subject in full from specialists. The session was facilitated by Ms. Bola Oshikanlu, Occupational Therapist and Prof. Jide Williams, Neurologist, GWAF faculty and Board Secretary respectfully.

‘The 2021 Annual Memorial Lecture was held virtual as part of live in the post COVID -19. Another interesting aspect of the event was the single source live streaming on YouTube unlike previous one where Facebook, used then, was at disadvantage of some audience. About 112 people simultaneously participated in the live event both on Facebook and YouTube platforms. As at the time of this report, the event has gained 141 views on the GWAF YouTube channel.
