2021 International Day of Older Persons

To celebrate the Senior Citizens globally, 1st of October is the UN designated day as the ‘International Day of the Older Persons’ It is the day set aside to celebrate and promote the living of the Older Persons across the globe. The 2021 edition was tagged ‘Digital Inclusiveness for Older Persons’.

Having realized the strength in a common voice, GWAF joined her voice with other stake holders like COSROPIN, ASCOPIN and SGA Africa Group connect on all our social media platforms to sensitize the general public on the need to enhance aged care and incorporate elementary technology to the care delivery. This, we belief, would enhance healthy ageing, improved living for the elderly, keep the aged people engaged and adding value to their creativity and productivity.

In addition to that, GWAF was part of the panelist that facilitated an online discussion that was organized by CBOs as part of the events to mark the 2021 IDOP day.
