About the Foundation
In 2015, the World Alzheimer's Report highlighted the growing challenges of dementia in Sub Saharan Africa countries like Nigeria. These included desperately low awareness about dementia despite the increased risk of the disease within an ageing population and the paucity of specific health policies designed to mitigate the problem.
Learn MoreDr. Gabisiu Ayodele Williams was born in Lagos, on September 11, 1937. He was educated at the Methodist Boys’ High School, Lagos, and later travelled to England to study Medicine at St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School, London, where he graduated in 1963. He did his post-graduate work at the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health, Baltimore, MD, USA.
