GWAF GIVES DIRECT AID TO GRASS ROOT AGENCY
Citizen Home Care Agency: 2021 End of the year event

The Gabi Williams Alzheimer’s Foundation (GWAF) supported the end of the year event organized for the Senior Citizens by the Citizen Home Care Agency, Ikotun on the 23rd of December, with the sum of NGN 50, 000 (fifty thousand Naira). The donation was delivered to Mrs. Olubunmi Aladetuyi, the CEO of the agency by Mr. Peter Olaniyan, the Senior Officer, on behalf of GWAF.

The event aimed at to celebrating with the elderly in the spirit of the yuletide and put smiles on the faces of this category of people as well as unsure their well-being. The event started with free basic test and consultation for each elderly person followed by health talk which was delivered by the CEO of the agency. With medical consultation for each participant, multivitamins were freely distributed to all attendees. Light physical fitness session, dancing competition and games like ayo, ludo, chess and card were also part of the fun at the event.

Food items donated by private and corporate individuals were also gifted out at the event. Mrs. Aladetuyi, the CEO of the agency reported that about 80 elderly persons were reached. She was appreciative of the gesture and encourage spirit hearted Nigerians to join hands with care agencies and foundations such as GWAF in making the society a better place.
